If she wants to introduce you to him, just do it. Friends him up and forget the girl. Do anything you would with any guy you'd want to be friends with.

It's a win-win situation. Imagine future conversations between them. "he tried to hit on me" and he could say "guys, was fucking cool". If it don't work out between them your right back in there with a positive wrap. If it don't work that way you have strengthened your chain. He could introduce you to girls that are friends to him, who are fair game.
