It's my final year at college and I haven't been to one before and have no idea how these things work. I don't have a lot of friends in my course and I've no idea how these things work, per say.

As far as I know, most people don't go as a pair... with a girl (or boy). I've no problem being seen there, but I'm a bit nervous of being seen arriving alone or something. By the time the night gets going, everyone will be drunk and it'll be fine. I'm not entirely sure what to wear either, and don't have anything to wear! The idea of showing up really well dressed all alone just seems weird. Asking my peers about it sort of defeats the purpose.

Any advice?

And you really think people have nothing better to do that judge whether everyone is coming alone or with someone?

Dress code highly differs depending on the college / country.

Are you going to have some grand entry in which the red carpet will be laid, the lights will be aimed at the door and your theme song will be played as you walk in? Or are you just that narcissistic to think people give a fuck, or that they'll remember who you walked in with 10 seconds after you walked in?

People have enough of their own problems to worry about, and this is a small thing to a giant. Go to the ball by yourself bro.

That or put on a glasses, mustache, big nose disguise, so no one sees the king of the world walking into the ball by himself.
