Hi all. I'm a College student and I'm curious about something.

I've got this friend (let's call him "Guy A") he's my age (slightly older IIRC), who now has a girlfriend. He has another male friend ("Guy B") around the same age as ours, and we meet at school rather often.

You see, Guy B is sort of this "hyper" type of fellow, if you see what I mean...he's a very bouncy lad, likes to talk, speaks rather more loudly than most people. Generally, he's more lively than most of us at our school.

There was a time when Guy B became interested in one of our schoolmates, a girl (let's call this "Girl A"). If you can by now already accurately picture how Guy B goes about his affairs, you might predict that he could be a little aggressive, a little forward. One day, he announced in Facebook how Girl A "inspired" him...it was very clear, publicly even, that he was interested in her.

Girl A did not respond to that post.

Since then, I think Girl A tries to avoid Guy B. Guy B says that they had shared a deep conversation once, but that they seldom meet and talk to each other.

Just recently, we were having lunch. You see, Guy A has some kind of a love-hate relationship with Guy B. He gets constantly annoyed by Guy B's impulsive attitude. So Guy A has a habit of telling people stories of his exploits with Guy B, how annoyingly Guy B acts, etc.

So let me get to the gist of this story. During lunch, I was seated with three people; Guy A, Girl A, and another guy. Guy A was sharing all these stories about Guy B's impulsiveness. One story of his involves him and his girlfriend. It's rather hard to explain here, but let me just say that Girl A just simply laughed at all Guy A's stories.

I was thinking, could Girl A be more comfortable being around Guy A, simply because Guy A alreay has a girlfriend (and is therefore of "higher social status" than Guy B), or because she's simply avoiding Guy B?

In short, are girls more comfortable being around guys who already had/now have girlfriends?

You know, let me share a little bit of personal opinion on this. I just notice that the girls who like hanging out with said guys are a little...hmm..."premature", for lack of a better term. I always notice that they have, at times, difficulty with mixing with other people. I don't know if this is just sour grapes (I personally never had any real success with girls), or if this is somehow true.

What's your take on this?

Thanks!

Regards,
Lonious

For the love if God this whole guy alphabet / girl alphabet will drive me insane one day. I have to ride this damn empty train for six hours but my absurd level of boredom is the only thing that kept me reading.

Anyway, the story was completely irrelevant to your questions. You can't take a particular case and make a general statement off of that, especially when it's so specific.

Yes women are more interested in a man with a girlfriend to some degree. It's a sign that he's in demand. If everyone talks about a TV show and watches it, you kinda gain interest and wanna watch it as well, right?
Same applies.

Guy A is more comfortable around Girl A than Guy B is. Therefore, Girl A is more comfortable around (and probably more attracted to) Guy A than she is Guy B

Pretty crazy, A guy? ;)
