What are some good date/hangout idea for girls you just met or recently number closed?

I've learned that dinner and a movie is not really a very good way to go for a first date and it's too chode and expensive for playing the numbers.

What would be something I could do comfortably that would help take some of the anxiety of the situation off my chest?
When I take a new girl for a first date out to dinner and a movie, I feel like this is the wrong way to go, that I have to impress her, and that she is somehow grading her experience and deciding to buy into this or not. Movies and dinner would be something I would want to treat a girl to if she proves she's worth it.

As for meeting up at a bar or club I'm not too comfortable with this idea either. Why would I take a girl I have weak or budding ties with out somewhere where I could lose her to competition? Also, I haven't spent much time in bars or clubs and I'm not very comfortable here yet, although I've made a little progress here.

It seems like part of the grueling process of meeting a girl and trying to get dates is figuring out where to take her and what my best options are. I think if I can get this area handled it would make the whole process a whole lot easier and more enjoyable and I think this post could be valuable topic for all on this forum.

One more important piece of information, I'm 22 and a college student and girls that I would be taking out would be around my age and most-likely students as well.

Grab a coffee and explore the city / go to a park

Keep it simple the first time. Get to know her what she likes/dislikes. Maybe you'll both like the same restaurant/cuisine. Set up a date. Go with her there next time.

Ya I would do coffee or a small dinner, somewhere that is not expensive.

Go get a coffe or something equally as boring. At one point , say something like:

"Ok screw this , we're leaving.We're gonna go do something fun.We're going <insert fun activity here>"

I'm 20 , also a college student and something that has never once failed me during winter is ice-skating.I'm actually starting to get good at it now seeing how many times I've done it on first dates and whatnot , but it was extremly fun at first , because I sucked horribly at it and my dates usually sucked too.

Two people sucking at something kinda brings them together.

It's a good idea because as opposed to a movie / dinner it's not a stereotypical first date , it's not boring , it doesnt involve braindead activity like waiting for your order / the movie to start AND it gives her a good impression about you. Now you're different. You not just another guy that takes her to CinemaCity ,again.

Also , more importantly , it implies a huge amount of situational kino ( her falling over you / in your arms / blabla ) and it blasts comfort through the roofs.

Trust me , if you play it right you're gonna be golden.
