How to approach girls without getting rejected?

Just watched a rejection compilation video on youtube. Sometimes, even if you approach and ask for their name they can reject you.

Example in the video the guy says "Hey stop, name now" and she replies "shut up you're annoying you're ugly".
Near the end he stops to shake a girl's hand and she ran away from him with 2 friends. He didn't even ask them out or anything

Rejection videos like these make me scared to approach women. How do you approach without being shot down immediately.
