Howdy, I'm pretty new to the community, but here's one of my favorite opening routines that I've made that is surprisingly effective for most women.
*see's a spicy senorita*
Me:Hey, can I get your help with something?
Her:What is it?
Me:Well, I need your opinion on something.
*from my experience DO NOT open with "i need your opinion on something," it almost always has to be "can i get your help with something*
Her:Sure
Me: So, I've got a friend. She says that in a fight between the Xmen and the Avengers, the Xmen win. What do you say?
*I choose to say that my friend is a she so that it gives the initial impression that I'm talking with other women. Also, have your own opinion on who would win. Be able to defend your point against her, but don't argue. Have fun*
*she will say 1 of 3 things*
1 Her: ummm Xmen
1 Me: Oh what? You were supposed to be smart.... (notice the neg)
2 Her: ummm Avengers
2 Me: I knew you were smart...
3 Her: I don't really know anything about them.
3 Me: You know who they are, right? (she inevitably will know who they are, unless she lives under a fucking rock) Who do you think will win? (Go to 1 Her or 2 Her)
*after she gives her answer and you two have "argued" your points on who will win*
Me: Who's your favorite superhero? Besides me.
(after this line, the opener is up to you carry on with the conversation)

This is my first post on this forum. Let me know if any of you have found similar success with this opener as I have had.

I use to use openers like this until I watched spread for the first time. Now I just walk up and say Hi, as long as you are confident you will get a good response. I do like the response to what is your favorite X-Men though, that is gold.
