There is a huge problem in this "community" and in the self help community all around... People LOVE "learning."

I can sum up any pick up or self help book out there in 2 words... take action. That's all you need to know. So why do you keep watching RSD videos? Why do you keep buying new pick up DVDs and wasting your time watching those? Why do you need MORE generic help? You've heard it all already!!

All reading those books and watching those videos are going to do is make you question yourself. You've learned enough... You don't need to study any more.

It's kinda like golf...

Rory Mcilroy and Jordan Speith are currently two of the top golfers in the world right now. They both have a different swing. But are still both the best. So who's swing is better? Does it really matter?

I'll go a bit deeper...

Imagine if Rory Mcilroy was constantly changing his style, studying other players, trying to find the "perfect swing".... what would happen? He probably wouldn't be the best golfer in the world right now. He knows that what he's doing may not be perfect... but it works.

See... Golf, alot like picking up girls, has to do with how confident you are in your ability to play. You don't need a perfect swing. You just need to really believe that your swing is perfect.... and how are you going to do that if you are questioning yourself all of the time?

Get the basic mindset down for being good with women and get the fuck away from the pick up stuff. You are only making yourself worse off.

The simplest thing to do is take a bit of pickup information and go out and practice it. See what happens. Did you expect that to happen?

Volume is the missing ingredient for almost every guy who has trouble with women. You are behind. You have to catch up. The way you catch up is by opening and interacting A LOT.

Set aside 3-4 hours per day... 3-4 women per hour. Record your interactions in a journal. Write Field Reports here.

There's NO way you don't improve if you are actually out practicing.

Nothing wrong with studying. The problem is doing nothing but studying.

You can and should do both. If you're trying to learn snowboarding you'll obviously get there a hell of a lot faster by actually doing it rather than reading about it. But doing it and being aware of core concepts at the same time will do nothing but make your progress significantly faster and more enjoyable.

But I agree, most people end up with plenty of knowledge and no real world applicability.

Then again Mistery is a testament to his own failure, he never achieved what he set out to do, he sleaped with over 100 women but was never able to establish any long term connection, one time he had a woman he was actually invested in he ended up driving her away and as a result he suffered a mental breakdown, nowdays he has a daughter outside of wedlock with a woman that is not even with him anymore, he many be a great PUA but he is horrid at keeping a woman.

His goal was to be an amazing pickup artist so he definitely achieved his goal. He's had a very beautiful girlfriend for over a year now.

I don't know what his current goal is but he seems to be doing just fine in life. Not everyone wants to marry and have 2.5 children and a house with a white picket fence.

I agree, but someone in my condition still needs to study at least something to have some idea where to go. Otherwise I wouldn't even know where to start. I'd be like every other guy out there and failing.

I'm also the type of person who doesn't just need material to learn, but I need a wingman who's up and willing to give me on the spot advise. It's useless to come back say what happened unless you can see and hear what really happened.

You post is well meaning but not accurate.

Simply getting out in the field without sufficient knowledge is useless.

Much of social interaction is subconscious and what is taught isn't necessarily "common sense". Little things like the importance of correct voice tonality or eye contact are things that I would not have realised by simply going out in the field.

As was said, you need to do BOTH - learning and testing/application of your knowledge. Nothing is wrong with learning AS LONG AS you are also going out in the field and USING what you've learned.

Likewise, golfers often change their swings over their career - case in point Tiger Woods, who has gone through several major swing changes.

Though I've never touched a dragon with a mop, I'm pretty sure the dustpan would be full by now if you really owned Papa John's pizza.

At the very least, try to drive with the electricity pulsing through the sonar waves and empty out what little bit of talent the old bugbear still has.

Mistery is nearly in his 50es by now, how long do you think he will be able to keep up the same level of energy, and considering the fact that in "the game" Style describes a phase where Mistery ends up in mental institution precisely because he was unable to keep up a stable relationship it is safe to say that was in fact a priority for him at least in one period of his life. Furthermore i heard great many MPUA complain that game became empty for them, they could get any girl they wanted but they still missed that something. In my oppinion game should be means to an end, if game becomes it's own purposse the player condemns himself to eventual decline and bad end.

You are right about "some idea where to go." The problem is we have guys who are studying LMR tactics who are virgins or who haven't had a Day2 in months and months.

If you are just getting started you only need enough of a map to get to a number. Even better, just get enough of a Map to have a 10 minute conversation with the girl after the initial opener without freaking yourself or her out.

THEN everything you read about that phase and the phase after will make more sense. You will have REAL mental reference points based on reality that will organize the data you accumulate in a meaningful way.

Next point, "I need a wingman..." - I disagree. At least at first, what you NEED is real-world experience. I've been involved in a few lairs and I can tell you that until each PUA is Intermediate level (getting solid numbers, going on dates, getting a couple lays per month), what wings usually do is end up trading each other's bad habits.
