A little while later that same day she sent me a text message. Unfortunately, my text game was pretty weak, so I could really use some insights on where I went wrong with her and how I could've done it better.

Here's the 1st text convo:

Her: "Hi slutcake.. It's Kristin."
Me: "Hey dorkface! What are u up to today around 6-ish? and I'm T----btw..."
Her: "Im gonna be baking cookies with my nephews! haha"

Me: "Cool beans.. I live in xxxxx, but I was thinking of going to xxxx mall. U know where that is right?"
Her: "Duh I do."
Me: "Haha alright alright no need to get snappy there missy k I'll hit u up tues and we'll figure out a time to meet up."

Then tuesday was supposed to be the day of our big meet up. I texted her for a while, then talked on the phone, and then texted some more. Turns out she had gotten into a fight a few days back and broke her hand punching some drunk girl. The story was awesome and lead into an easy phone conversation. In a weird way, it was actually kinda good that all this happened, because she had lots to talk about, which made things easier on me. We bantered a lot and later talked about everything from pets to going to the beach. In the end, we agreed to try meeting up again next week.

Here's the text convo leading up to us talking on the phone:

Me: "Excuse me, do you have any grey pupon?"
Her: "Hey there.. so I have bad news - Dont know if youve been on my myspace at all and read about it but I broke my right hand friday night so I cant drive."
Me: "Yikes! That sucks :-/ I haven't been on myspace in a while. What happened?"
Her: "Got in a fight. I didnt start it though or take the first swing. drunk broad swumh I matrixed out of the way and then socked her in the face which in turn broke her face though so thats kinda awesome. haha"

*At this point I called her and that's when we talked on the phone for a while. I kept teasing her, because she said it was too hard for her to put on any clothes other than goofy dresses with her busted hand."

She later texted me a pic of her in a funny red dress and then asked:
Her: "How lame am I?"
Me: "Lmao you're totally hardcore I luv it!"
Her: "how pathetic is it? haha"
Me: "I'd say it's about a "4" right now "
Her: "ouch.... you cut me deep shrek. haha"


I texted her yet again later the following week and that's where I fucked things up.

First off, I sent her a pretty lame text message with a picture of my cat and wrote "how do you like my pussy". Needless to say, that didn't go over too well... My reasoning was that because we talked a lot about our pets on the phone, she would be interested in seeing the picture. Instead, however, she just never replied to my text.

Then, last monday, I decided to try again. I sent her a message that said "Hey Hardcore! Happy St. Patty's Day." I called her "hardcore" because of the broken hand incident mentioned in my above post. This time, she replied "Hahaha thanks you too!" However, I immediately fucked it up again with my next message... I wrote "Hey what are your plans like for this week? I gota buy that gift soon, so I can give it to my niece." Thinking back on the situation, I felt like I pushed for the meet too soon and once again, she didn't reply.

And that's the whole story.... the moral of it being matchbook method = awesome, but my own personal text messaging game = not so good.

So my question is, where do I go from here? Can I still save this somehow? Or is it back to myspace once again?

Glad to see the method working for you. You effed up the first text convo but it looks like you got things straightened out. Sucks she broke her hand. lol and you definitely effed up by bringing up the niece gift idea again. It made you appear needy and try hard. You sound like you learned your lesson though.

You're never down and out, you just have to freeze her out for a little bit and give her some time to forget about your last screw up.

Essentially, rinse and repeat....

Freeze her out for about a week or so, and then reopen her on MySpace with one of the attraction spiking reopening messages...then after a couple messages set up a meet up...this time make it something exciting you're doing and just invite her along. This approach will counter your text screw up where you came off as needy.

Remember, unlike dating sites, MySpace is a SOCIAL networking site and it's okay to message her after you've exchanged numbers and even met up.
