My intentions are all that matters in my own reality.
The same selfish additude Mystery has towards the community.
You have no idea how wrong you are.

1. That's not a selfish attitude. That's called being centered and NOT being a fucking AFC. What if my main intention was to help others by spreading wisdom and happiness (which it is)? Would you still call that selfish because I was using my intention to shape my reality? This is something you should learn from as a PUA.

2. You don't know Mystery. Quit trying to pass judgment.

I apologize for getting nasty. Its your perrogative to apply the world of PUA to yourself however you want. Its all about self improvement after all.
However, it does not take a judge or a genius to see what Mystery's intentions are. The letter puts it out there quite clearly that the cast is going to be comprised of "geeks" or social outcasts. He will be abiding by VH1's protocol. They want ratings. Tell me thats not exploitation. The only person he is helping is himself or he would stick to the programs he has been operating for years. I do beleive however that the show may inspire alot of people to look further into themselves. Its obvious that was not his motivation and its MY perrogative to express my opinion on the matter.

Ok, but what good does that do?

Regardless of what Mystery's intentions are, I think that what he is doing is going to have GOOD effects on the community...and he's gunna make a buttload of more money in the process.

Going mainstream is different from the programs he has been doing in the sense that they have different kinds of beneficial effects on society as a whole. Mystery has always been a leading pioneer in the community with new ways of doing things, and I think he's leading the community in a good direction, regardless of his potential financial greed.

So, I'll say again that I don't care what Mystery's intentions are because he's not doing the community any bad. He's only helping more people in different ways through his "exploitations," whether he likes it or not.

Oh, and the show is highly entertaining lol

With all that said, let's look at a common theme that resonates in the community... I'll quote directly from Style's Rules of the Game, "The comfort zone is enemy territory."

I think a lot of people are looking at this whole VH1 situation in a negative light because they haven't yet developed their Inner Game. These CHANGES that Mystery is bringing the community is only going to help it GROW ... but guess what? Most people (average people...who happen to be frustrated lol) RESIST change. They FEAR change. They fear the unknown because they can never have total control over the future, and this makes them uneasy.

I say we should EMBRACE change...EMBRACE growth and maturity...Let's tackle Change head-on by seeing how it can benefit us, instead of resisting any potential growth by cowering in fear. In the long run, it really does feel great to step out side of your comfort zone.

PUAs know this

blues said it right...

"A new show will change nothing. The most important thing that PUA teaches you is confidence...".

It teached you confidence, body language, etc. The canned stuff is great for beginers, but i really dont use it in my game anymore. The new season will help us, more people in the community to sarge with.

Nothing will change the things women look for in guys.

Okay wakeboardr I'm not picking on you, in particular because I hate the wrap that canned material gets. Let's clarify something real quick.

All canned material means is something that is pre-prepared. When someone asked Mystery once what the can was he pointed to his head his brain. If you've used the line before or prepared it, then it's said to be in the can.

Most people view canned material is the cooky cutter pickup lines we've heard a thousand times. Stuff like, "Have you seen the fight outside," or "Do you floss before or after you brush?" Yep that's pre-made too by Mystery for his students.

Before we bash it let's clarify what we are bashing guys. Do you hate the cheesy lines they give the student on the PUA show or do you hate the idea of preparing some openers?

The girl psyche probably won't change just because of a TV show, so the only thing that it will do is make them aware of the popular canned openers.

I honestly don't like either. Situational openers are where its at.

But I have a feeling most poeple are talking about the lines Mystery uses on the show.

Either way, he's only beating a dead horse. Mystery has proven that he is money-hungry, but he has also not put forth any new groundbreaking theories. His material continues to grow out-dated and collect dust while next generation men are blazing new paths in the world of seduction. Show or no show, Mystery has come to the end of his term, I believe.

Aside from how everyone feels about the shows effect on the community...

Anyone consider applying to be on it? I think it would be an insane opportunity and how crazy would it be for someone to go on who wasn't a total AFC? They could run the entire show!

I'm seriously considering it, imagine the social proof of having been on the show (drools). Thoughts?

I don't know about social proof. The first 4 guys that got kicked out, and even Pradeep (don't remember if he was 4th or later), were shown with a complete lack of social intelligence. You definitely want to be in the final 4 if you want to show some social proof, instead of being the village idiot.

It definitely would be fun to apply though. Anyone have more info on it?

As for Mystery's intentions. Why can't he make a ton of money out of it? Didn't Style do the same with 2 books now? In a capitalistic society, if you don't make money from using your knowledge, some one else will.

I wonder what would happen if we were in communistic regime? Then again, I guess you wouldn't even be peacocking, unless you want to face the firing squad, lol.

All the info is here:

http://pickupartist2casting.com/pages/round_by_round

Apparently they are picking one person from the website, the rest will be chosen by producers and the like.

As far as getting out early, if I'm on it I'd win it that much is certain. ;) I'd also probably blow the $50,000 in one weekend and buy a DeLorean!

I'll throw my 2 cents in this...

Mystery is trying to reach the top. His goal is to put the Venusian artists on the map. Like you have rockers, magicians, so he wants Venusian artists, to be valued members of a social trend. It's good for him because he gets to live the very high lifestyle that the world is constantly denying him! while being able to do the things he dreamed about all his life. His goal is to be remembered in history for cracking the 'chick code'.

The thing is, no one really cares.

People don't take this community seriously, outsiders look at this community as rubbish, girls don't like the notion of pickup artists, and routines. And altho its growing you might say its not really going to do anything drastic anytime soon despite the big constant hype in the community, which is mainly a marketing ploy for people to purchase more material.

What you all need to realize is that this is a product, all to do with money $$...

People are like robots in the way we communicate on a social and sexual level. Its all predetermined, those switches are hard wired. Now if everyone is using the method with altered routines, it would be the same as having a really good conversation all the time. Everyone would have something interesting to say. Its no big secrete and to be quite frank these routines have been around way before time.

Is it a bad idea? well ask yourself, who wins at the end?

- The lovable losers at the show do!
- Mystery does!
- You do by learning new routines off the show!
- The women hear drift of a interesting new fab that changes boys into men, so they are into it. And because its a fab soon it will be trendy, and being a venusian artist mite be like being a rock star. Women will respond to it simply because the implications. Ofcourse some may not like it, but we understand that what a person says and does are two different things.
- The community does, more publicity more people to learn the method.
- The AFC's do.

Its all good.

I say go for it, and i think they should make another show that allows already pickup artists to battle for higher ranked grounds. If that ever occurs count me in! And once i win it, i can have deep and meaningfuls on the David Deangelo talking with Dating Gurus show ;)!

PS: Scarcity thinking is death gentlemen.
