Seriously, though, the opportunities for pickup with this game are endless. I actually care more about catching the Pokemon than picking up these chicks because I've been a hardcore Pokemon fan for like my entire life (along with the fact that I've already gotten plenty of action from being into pickup for like the entirety of my adult life), but if I wanted to actually get laid I could be doing that every time I go out. The rapport and comfort is all already built into the interaction and it makes every interaction go by so damn smoothly.
First off, yes -- Mystic is the only team that matters.
Second, I want to stress for any guys following this thread and trying to apply pickup while playing the game that YES, you SHOULD be more interested in the game than you are in talking to people (thanks for that point, Chief).
If you go out purely with the intention of meeting people, that's going to be reflected very quickly in your demeanor. People are going to catch on, and you're going to seem creepy/needy/clingy, etc.
Your emphasis should ALWAYS be on something besides the girl. That doesn't mean you don't talk to the girl. But to project masculine energy, you need to have things you care about more than the women around you. You'll never be attractive to her if she can see that she's your top priority.
What better opportunity than this? Your attention is on a video game that is honestly fun as fuck, has many benefits that come from playing, and will result inadvertently and inevitably in striking up conversations with interesting people. Just remember to keep your head in the right place.
Additionally, I want to note that LOTS of guys are catching on to the fact that this game is a good way to meet women. That makes it harder, unfortunately, because it means the women are catching on too. When they suspect they're being "picked up" it makes them very easily spooked. ALL THE MORE REASON to keep your emphasis on enjoying the game, getting the exercise, and just having a good time.
