OKCupid can vary in quality by city. My city, Buffalo, kind of sucks for it, I feel like I've messaged every attractive woman in Buffalo already. Meanwhile I'm close enough to Toronto that I keep seeing women in my searches and feeds and occasionally I'll search Toronto too. The number of attractive women is insane there, plus when I message the women from Toronto I get responses far more often. I usually don't follow up because I can't even go to Canada anyway, just pointing out that it varies.

OP check out some of the other online sites, of OKC isn't popular in your area maybe all the women are on POF. Or Match.com but I don't like using a pay site that much, and they ripped me off once by charging me after I'd cancelled.

Also, yeah, try meet up groups. A lot of cities have meetup.com groups with different kinds of meet ups, some dating related, some hobby/interest related. Might be a good way for you to just get out there and practice socializing with people.
