First off all, I'm not sure if I'm aloud to post this question here since this is a newbie question. If there is any problems in that manner just let me know.

To start off, I think its important that I put you guys in context before explaining my problem/questions. Its started at a new years, back then I had a girlfriends (I broke up with her not to long ago). We went to different party's since she wanted to be with her girl friends. So at the party one hot girl started flirting with me. I flirted innoctently back but I never cheated (I am against cheating). So when she was leaving the party she asked me to walk to her to her taxi and I did so. I then asked if I could hop on the taxi with her friends since my drive back ditched me. Once they arrived at there destination the girl asked if I wanted to sleep at her friends house. Because I had a girlfriend I refused. I then went home. I got her number during that night and we texted the next day. She then never replied to one off my text.

After a a couple weeks I broke with my girlfriend and then just 2 days ago the new years girl texted me to go join her at her friends house. I had a uni exam the next they so I politly refused. The next day I texted her thanks fore the invite and she said no problem!! We both have iphones so we can see when we read eachothers text. I read her text and got distracted after and forgot to replie.

A day has passed since this event happened and my questions boil down to.

How do I stand with this girl? ( How interested is she now )
Did I screw up my chances with her because I forgot to replie?
Should I send her a text?
What text should I send her if I should text her?

I know this is a typical newbie question but I am not sure what to do.

RC has a thread about text game. I think it's in his signature. He's active enough on the forum and I'm sure you'll find him.

One tip I'd give: Don't make this the only girl you're thinking about. I can tell that you already are, because you're so invested. She invited you out. Assume she did it because she wants you - women don't like making the first move, she tried and you didn't come. She's tried twice now. How about you man up and text her "Wish I could have made it the other night! When are you free? Got a cool place that I want to show you" or something similar. When she tells you, set a definite date to the point that you'll have no need to text her further (doing so will just increase the chances of her cancelling)

If she does anything other than agree to a definite date, just say "Ok well give me a call if you change your mind" OR "Well when you've figured out your schedule let me know and we can do something cause I'd love to see you" and leave it at that until she texts you again.

Focus on other women, too. Don't be so selfish.

Nah didn't eff up at all.

Just keep the texting light and funny - don't always feel a need to respond right away that sets up predictability and is a huge attraction killer for women. Use texting sparingly but also get to the point of arranging for a meet-up/'date'
