Hi guys, just wanted to know if you would be so kind as to critique my online dating profile for me... I know that in the world of online dating, the odds are already against you, and that if you hope to have any luck you better be ready to always initiate with the first message... That has never be a problem for me, but what I have noticed is that I just can't seem to get a lot of girls to respond. I will say this though, I only message really cute girls, and maybe that's why...

It lets me know when they've checked out my profile, but it sucks to see that someone checked out your profile and didn't respond. The game goes on, I guess.

On to my profile...

"Hi ladies. The name's Red. I recently just got out of marriage of 3 years. My ex an I are superheroes and used to travel all around the world fighting crime... From stopping evil geniuses from blowing up the planet, to saving abandoned kittens from burning buildings. You name it, we did it all. After awhile though, I think it started to become more of a chore for her, and I guess her heart was just no longer in it, so I'm in the market for a new sidekick now, cause this is the only life I really know...

My time is valuable, and I only enjoy spending time with women that are smart, funny, and interesting, so if I end up liking you, we'll get you fitted for a cape! Or whatever the hell WonderWoman has going on with her getup...

Perks of rolling with someone that has superpowers as follows:
1: You never have to worry about parking
2: With X-Ray Vision, I'll never let you leave the house without clean undies :P
3: Pickle Jars

The list could go on, and I really wanted to finish filling this whole thing out, but I just heard the cry of what sounded like a damsel in distress, off in the distance. Duty calls, but leave me something nice and we'll chat."

^^^ That was it. Whadda ya think?

well you let everyone know you were the dumpee rather than the dumper so that usually doesn't go over well. I think you have a very nice guy profile that is going to attract a lot of less desirable woman and those looking for a safe guy. Of course if you look like Bradly Cooper in your profile pictures than that sappy cute funny profile could work.

No, just no. just don't look like the one who got dumped.

i wouldn't use all this superheroe stuff. i don't find it funny, i personally find it lame. even if a cute girl messages me on tinder with that bio description i would assume she's lame and a nerd. you're not selling yourself right. besides you are automaticlly labeled as "mr.nice guy"

i personally use short bios. something that creates mystery.

It's really wordy considering you're talking about an ex for most of your profile... no matter how playful it is.

I'd cut it out completely. No need to even let them know you were married in your profile. That's an in-person thing... and really only if it gets to the 2nd or 3rd date IMO.

@charles: You think they are gonna be taking me seriously when I say that I was married? The whole point of it is to come off as light and playful, so that It doesn't look like I'm taking things too seriously...

@Hawkz: Can you give me an example or two of what you would do differently? I'm not asking you to write a profile out for me, just a few pointers if you have any.

Ya actually. I wasn't being sarcastic. If a girl is looking for a relationship (granted that may not be what you're looking for) that is sometimes important.

It seemed like unnecessary personal detail to me. Just my opinion
