Is Facebook a good place to meet women?

Im debating on whether to make a facebook or not, a lot of my friends and family want me to but Im pretty old fashioned and like talking on the phone with my friends and family rather than typing words. Just curious of how much it helps to have a Facebook when meeting and picking up women?

Adding random girls on fB is creepy, why not just speak to single girls on Tinder? Fish where the fish are hungry. Don't fish in the middle of a field.

Why not Just get Facebook for personal use? If you lead a good life, you will naturally get girls adding/pinging you that you can capitalise on. But still, it's not really a tool to get laid per sei. It can increase your value, you'd be surprised how much that can help. Same goes for instagram followers.

Last month, I got invited to reunion and connected with olds friends. I started chatting up a girl that was going to be at the reunion. I turned up to the reunion and then took her home. Facebook reconnected me to these people where as not having a FB does not...Get it?

No, it's not.

Go meet real people...

If you want online meetings, try Tinder. At least you know any girl you see on there is actually looking and won't think it's creepy if you message them.

We're approaching 2016, my grand parents have facebooks. Lol.

Its definitely not the best place to meet chicks though; not that you can't turn a couple random friend request into some lays because you can, but there are better options.

You ever think about trying a dating site instead?

In 2007 and 2008, I was adding random girls on Facebook and got laid by doing so, but these days it has become socially accepted that such behavior (i.e., adding random women on Facebook) is creepy, needy, and gives girls the heebie jeebies...

Nowadays, especially in the last few years sites like Tinder, POF and OKCupid have become popular outlets for being success with women online. Although I do not use those sites, I have heard tons of success stories from guys who have gotten dry spells cured with such sites. If you want to meet women online, the aforementioned are sites I highly recommend.

However, the key to success with online dating has a lot to do with your profile and your pictures, so make sure you understand how to convey an attractive persona and lifestyle with such

Don't think Facebook for meeting random women is very good. As generally Facebook is a closed network and people don't meet each other unless they have met in person. Twitter is a different story is where it's more acceptable to connect with people you haven't met before. And I have dated women from that medium.

However Facebook is a good tool to have in your arsenal if you're out meeting women. Ideally the most efficient thing is to pull a girl back to your place when meeting her. Second prize is a phone number and Third prize Facebook contact. It's great if you can pull things off with the ideal scenario. But takes awhile to get to that level and regardless circumstances sometimes don't always allow for it.

But I have found Facebook contact sometimes can be superior to a phone number. This is of course depends on how well you have setup your Facebook profile. And if it is compliant with attracting women and shows off your lifestyle. So photos of you chugging beer at a Frat party in your tighty whities probably won't cut it. (But then again depends on your prospects)

Often when getting a phone number most people Text each other. Facebook has that same ability to message each other from instant messenger. As well as you can do Audio calls with it.

But we all know that with getting phone numbers, they can flake. A girl may not respond or give you limited the responses the next day. After the initial attraction wears off (Or alchohol if you met at the club) there is a bit of a recoil effect, where here logical mind re-engages and she becomes complacent to meet.

There many reasons for flaking. But one of them is potentially the sense of not knowing who you really are. For all you know you could be a serial killer or rapist. She has no real ties to who you are as a person. Facebook can help with this as you might have mutual friends. This again might be a good thing or bad thing. It's a bad thing if you're trying to pull an NWA and "Find 'em, Fuck 'em, Flee" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmRLX_Fu0Hc). It's a good thing if you didn't have enough chance to build comfort and familiriaty.

It also gives you more to work with about who she is. Maybe she has similar interest to you that you didn't know about from your initial interaction. Helping you to further your connection with some common grounds.

Finally Facebook can be great for building your passive network of women. The woman you met during daygame at the mall might be 50/50 when she met you. Sure she thought you were cute and attractive. But might be a little cold in her responses the day after because she realized she just got out of a relationship and needs some time off. No problem, keep her as an "orbiter". Keep spending your time with the girls that are red hot in your funnel. But she is still on the radar in your life when the timing is right. She might see things that boost your value to her based on what you post and seeing more about the lifestyle you live. Which is broadcast not just to her, but all your orbiters. So while your busy being with women who are ready to go at the moment. It's passively doing your work for you and continuing to build your brand passively.

short answer is no but it can be done. If your planning on using it as your main tool for online dating you will most likely be let down hard. This guy I knew was too cheap to sign up for a dating site less than $15 a month and he was using facebook to meet dates.

His dates were always terrible while I had a lot of awesome ones.
