What exactly is "pick up". What is the difference between "pick up" and "trying to get laid" or "trying to get a girlfriend?"

Also, what are good topics of "deep conversation" with girls. Things along the line of..... telling them about the time your friend died in an accident and it made you realize how brief your time on Earth is and how fragile existence really is.

There is no difference. You're here to learn skills that will help you get laid or get a girlfriend. Pick up is just another way to say those 2 things.

A normal girl will love to talk about herself. IE her goals, her favourite place to visit, her best memories... get her talking about those things and she'll go on forever. It'll also get her feeling positive, and she'll think back to when she saw you, and felt positive. Same works the other way, be careful talking about death. I'm not saying never talk about death, but don't make 80% of the conversation negative. You want her to associate positive thoughts with you... she'll want more positivity, which she'll be getting from you = wants more of you.
