I know I shouldn't react, and it barely bothers me as far as confidence or anything goes... it's just really annoying that these people think they're actually funny, and that I'm miserable for keeping a straight face. Am I supposed to pretend it's hilarious or what? Crap idiots.

Oh just wondering why you didn't joke back with them. Thy were making friendly jokes and you seemed like you didn't get it.

It's not that I didn't get it.

The issue isn't that I can't take a joke. It's that they can't make one.

The aim of their "jokes" were to make me look a dick... If they were hilarious I'd have loved it, I'm all for the banter when it's funny.

I don't know if that's what you're saying. Most jokes your friends make are not gonna be intrinsically hilarious. Unless you're hanging with comedians. A dumb joke amongst friends depends on the vibe and everyone's fun level. No offense but you didn't sound like you were having good day if you couldn't vibe.

I'm saying that directly insulting somebody, no matter how confident that person is, is in no way a joke. Also, it was family, not friends.

You dont usually wear shirts...so just be normal about it.

A simple "Yeah, trying something new" would have been normal response. Vibe with people. Joke around. People arent attacking or insulting you. Someone is joking with you, joke back. If you're a fun guy, a lame joke will still make you laugh. If you're a serious boring guy, you're gonna act like jokes need to be from Kevin Hart or Seinfeld for you to laugh. I just see 2 people teasing you and you just being serious.

Lol, I do know how to joke. The problem was theirs. It went on for longer than I've shown here. The first 30 seconds or so was quite "funny" ...the second 5 minutes weren't.

So why post the funny part?

I never posted anything funny. Unless it's just not funny to me cause I'm quite funny, and know a lot of funny people... if you drive in cars at 120mph every day, 90 wont seem so fast.

Didn't you say the first 30 seconds were quite funny? I'm assuming what you posted were the first 30 seconds. But what's the problem? That they were insulting you? Which they weren't in what you posted. Or that they weren't funny? All I see is some people joking with you, and you being way too serious about it in your replies to them. And 120mph vs 90mph, sure...but you're seeing "insults" where there arent any. Being funny doesnt mean you laugh at only really funny stuff and then act socially awkward for smaller jokes. It's better to be a FUN person than a FUNNY person. A fun person doesnt care if things are funny, they go with the vibe and have fun. If you can only see the humor and vibe in conversations that are hilarious, thats uptightness.

Like a few days ago I had to bring my DSLR to work. A friend saw me and commented in a group message that I was showing off my camera. Now it's not funny, and I guess by your view I'm being insulted but I didnt see that and a few of us just joked back and forth on the thread. I wont classify his joke as remotely funny, its teasing. If I only laughed at things that I found funny, I'd be uptight. I laugh at things because I can get fun out of the comment and play around.
