I know this seems ridiculous to say, considering the explosion of popularity that Tinder has given online dating, but I've noticed some very alarming trends with my online dating.

I've been doing OKcupid, PoF, and Match.com since 2010. It has literally gotten me laid hundreds of times, and sometimes I had hot streaks of 4-5 new girls in one week. I jumped on the Tinder train in 2013 which also augmented my lay count.

But for the past four months or so I've noticed an incredibly rapid decline in my success. I'm down to maybe one new lay every couple of months now! Part of the problem is I've been on these sites for so long that I've noticed a large percentage of new profiles are actually just the "lifer" girls.

The lifers are the girls who have been on the sites for years themselves, and are constantly getting into relationships, deleting their profiles, and then making new ones after their relationships inevitably crumble. These girls, if I haven't already banged them, are usually difficult to talk to because I've likely already attempted it before, am not interested, or they recognize me as a fellow lifer which is a mutual turn off.

Also maybe this is specific to my region of the US but I've noticed OKCupid particularly become completely overrun with fake accounts recently. There never used to be that many fakers on OKC but now it's easily above 50% of the new profiles each day.

So it's gotten more and more difficult for me to find that girl who is just trying out online dating on PoF or OKC for the first time, who are the ones I most successfully seduce and score with.

Another issue is that a lot of the would-be new accounts of PoF and OKC are using Tinder instead, since it requires less effort and is more socially acceptable. While I love Tinder for the vast amount of women who use it, I also struggle with the fact that I need that "right swipe" from a girl before I can even get my foot in the door. I'm always experimenting with new pictures but the fact of the matter is my strength is my ability to talk to these girls and aggressively pursue them. I can't do anything if they swipe left.

Anyone experiencing a similar dry spell? Do you think it will pick back up or are the dating sites a dying fad?

I think I have noticed a decline and I haven't even been on the app in months.

Most people are too cheap to spend $10 a month to get unlimited likes. So if you choose to pay, with some game, superior pics, you could could pretty well by having volume on your side.

Online game has always been a supplement my cold approach game. Or shall I say "offline dating".

I'm just gonna move to Asia instead. Where it's pretty rare to be swiped and not matched
