| I have recently come back from travelling and had taken a break from the game for a while. Well, at least consciously. Subconsciously we rarely take a break from gaming once it has become part of who we are.
This has given me a lot of thinking time, and drinking time, anyway aside from a slight dependency on Coopers I have reached an epiphany, a new level of thinking, which I wanted to share with you all.
All the effort that we put into routines, openers, shit tests etc are useful, but they are only useful for two things.
Firstly, they are a necessary step for most of us. We need some structure to what we are learning in order to understand and then implement the rules of attraction.
Secondly, these things work just fine in terms of getting numbers, even getting laid.
That is it. For all of you guys looking for casual sex every now and again. This isn't for you. You can stop reading now and I look forward to reading your field reports (I really enjoy them and it makes me wish for my youth again).
For all others, those who look to the game for true self improvement. To obtain a meaningful relationship. To get a decent job with a decent pay check, and to achieve harmony with yourself. You should continue reading.
We need more than the hooks, the routines, the negs. Woman aren't stupid and we must be honest with ourselves, they very soon get bored with us if there is little else to our personality other than seduction. This is not the way to achieve true long term happiness. I used to always be looking over my shoulder wondering when the sex with the hot Spanish chick would dry up as she's found a guy with a real purpose.
I am not telling you to forget all that you have learnt, abandon key techniques and key phrases you have acquired. These are needed to get your foot in the door with the women that you want. However, to keep them, you need more. To reach your full potential, not as a pua but as a human, we need much more.
What I am proposing is a more holistic approach to gaming. True self development and a true path to happiness. I'm not going to give you all the spiritual bullshit. That isn't my bag. I'm an atheist, I don't believe in an abstract higher power. What I have come to understand is that all the keys to happiness lie within us. All the tools we need to achieve anything we want to achieve lie within us. With the right studying, the right approach and teamwork, the world is ours to take.
We are a group of individuals who see our flaws. This is true by definition of you being a member on this forum. That is the key first step to fixing ourselves to be the best that we can be. We already have a head start over the rest of the population of this planet by acknowledging that we can be better, and by taking steps to become better. However it mustn't end with routines, getting your dick wet and then complaining when she finds someone else who can give her more than just an orgasm.
So, allow me to cut to the chase. As a community we are huge, as is our potential. We can achieve so much once we focus our minds away from the vagina and onto ourselves. The irony is this. Once we forget about pussy and focus on bettering ourselves, then obtaining sex with wonderful women is easy. However it will no longer be all that we want.
We want to be happy.
We want to be successful.
Success is the aim, money, fame, women, are just a by product of success and personal harmony. Our focus is wrong. By focussing on the beauty of the rainbow we are ignoring the pot of gold at the end of it.
In my time off I have not focussed on women. I have focussed on myself. I have read countless books. I have learnt new languages. I have found that learning makes me happier than sex.
A year ago I was sleeping in a car in Australia. I had no job and I was borrowing money off my parents to get by. Now I speak another language, I work in Switzerland earning very good money and I have a beautiful place in the Swiss countryside with a view of the Alps. Things change when we focus our minds away from what we want to what we can do today to better ourselves.
Let's do this. Lets make this community far more than pick up. Let's make this community about true self improvement. Not the quick win of a threesome. That will come anyway.
We have so many talented guys in our community. Those that speak other languages, talented musicians, natural public speakers and well connected professionals. Isn't it madness that we don't take advantage of this? Isn't stupid that we just read each others field reports. Why don't we teach each other our talents on a wider scale with no thought for reward.
Imagine how beautiful and powerful that would be.
