There is a lot of discussion here about the need to be an alpha man, but what is an alpha man?

A few days ago I found two hilarious YouTube videos re travel hacking:

I couldn't stop thinking how attractive such a lifestyle would be, the both show alpha traits but I'm not sure what the group believes is the case.

Being "alpha" is about being comfortable in who you are, being vulnerable, and not making excuses for yourself, apologies, or trampling over someone else.

Its an over used and often misinterpreted term by the unconfident guys that come into this community. You guys all become consumed with acting like someone else or projecting some image from a video or a movie. Sure some guy in your favorite movie was probably an alpha male but it had little to do with the way he sat or behaved directly. It had all to do with how confidently and comfortably he was with the way he was sitting and how confidently and comfortably he was with his behavior.

If you got outside acting like Rambo and you don't have the confidence for it to be congruent with whats inside of you it will not work. If you do have the confidence, assertiveness, and comfortability with yourself you can get away with almost any behavior.

I'll cross my legs and put both hands in my pockets and still pick up a woman if i'm confident and assertive. And an unconfident male who spreads his legs and keeps both hands out of his pockets will fail if he is lacking in self belief.

Confidence and ruling your negative emotions is key man. Everything else is just extra.
