Good evening brothers, I need your help!

I've been single for the past 3 months after leaving a long term relationship. I've had a few drunken one nighters since but I'm starting to experience single life in the full now and I'm bricking it.

Met a great girl on a well-known dating app, we've been talking for a couple days now, we've clicked well, have similar interests yada yada but it's now sunk in that I'm arranging a date and I'm properly nervous for some reason.

I've never been on a date with someone I haven't met outside the dating circle before.

You guys got any tips on how to deal with this anxiety?

Just be honest and tell her man. That's the thing about good inner game. If you just be honest with a person (10 fold), they will be drawn to you. Just tell her, and after that she will understand thus relieving the anxiety.

No pressure, dates are simple, talk, get to know eachother. Keep it real.

The worst thing you can do is go into a date with an agenda

Fuck off lol just enjoy your date and see if you click

Girls appriaciate realness and in the moment interactions

Go with your gut instinct and have fun

If you feel like doing something, do it.

Tip #1 Try your best to eat as clean as possible throughout the whole day. Many of the artificial chemicals in our processed foods are known to trigger and induce anxiety.

Tip #2 Theres something called Power Stance - Theres a Ted talk about it, and basically by holding your body in certain positions the body will release more endorphins allowing one to feel relaxed and at ease. I'd look up the talk and give it a watch.

Tip #3 A perspective switch.. Whats the worst that can happen? She just not like you or she doesn't turn out to be anything like you thought. And then you go home and resume your normal life? What could happen.. Are you afraid of just not being liked? Or are you afraid of the potential that this girl isn't the one for you? Whats the root of your fear? Who cares bro.. You like her, she likes you great. You guys continue.. You don't like her, you cut the date short and come home to avoid any wasted time. Theres nothing to lose and everything to gain here. You should be excited.

Thanks chaps, some pretty useful advice here.

I've been speaking to her today and it's her first date in a long time as well so I'm sure she's feeling just as nervous.

I'm going to keep in real low-key - grab a coffee then just go for a walk round the local park. We have a lot in common so I'm sure we won't run out of shit to say.

I'll post results after the date (next week).

Theres really no way for "quick help" in this situation. What you need to do is change your perception of yourself. You need a new self image. You don't want to be the shy guy anymore... That's not gonna just flip because you read an article. Sorry.
