how do you react when you say something and the woman gets upset or offended?
example: today a woman in her 60s was walking her dog. I told her I have seen this dog with another guy, "is he your son?"
she got offended because she thinks it's better if i ask "is he your brother?"
the guy is in his 40s, she is in her 60s so it's pretty reasonable to believe they were mother and son (i know reasonable doesn't mean anything to women)

anyway, the question is, how do you react after she gets offended? I tried to avoid the subject and talk about something else to distract her. is that good?

FYI wasn't trying to pick her up, I like milfs but not that old.

Part of all this pickup stuff is knowing when to shut up. "I've seen that dog with a guy" should have been the end of it. The guy could be her son, it could be her younger husband..it could be her older husband who looks good for his age, she could just look horrible for her age..you don't know. So don't ask questions like that. Not a big deal...it'd just not good to go assuming things with strangers.
