I had a gay guy as a roommate for about 2 years, and this crazy motherfucker is one of the people who has developed my personality the most in my entire life (no homo lol).

Not only would he go out of the way to introduce me to his friends (who somehow always were models and stuff), but he would constantly boost my self esteem with compliments, be super encouraging and have the deepest conversations with me about social dynamics and shit.

Of course, not all gay people are the same, but they usually know more about social dynamics than your average person does, and they don't tend to see other guys as their enemy (unless you give them a legit reason to do so), as they know what it is to be a man. Got to love them. (again, no homo)
