+1 for Chrome.
For the person using Fierce, how much does that run you? I looked on Amazon and saw it for 60 dollars.
I personally don't buy legit A&F. I use Designer Imposter's version. I use the body spray as a base, and then about 4 pumps of the cologne. It's only about $25 for 3 body sprays a 1.7oz cologne. I've found that combo projects better than legit Fierce. But, it does smell *slightly* different. Legit smells good on a friend, but the DI version smells weird when he sweats. It does not mix right. It smells the same on me, but it's not %100 the same.
Most knock offs are dollar store crap with no projection and no scent after like an hour, but these are pretty high grade. They use a lot of the same types of ingredients and oils found in true designer colognes.
Their Aqua Di Gio(called Masculino) is almost identical and actually cures a bit better on my skin. I only use the body spray for Fierce(called Raw Power) and Polo Blue. I don't like the other body sprays.
Unfortunately, their Code(Smokin' Hot) just doesn't smell like Armani. It smells somewhat similar, but misses entirely.
Their body spray for Curve is way off. But legit Curve spray is like $10 for 6oz, so I just cross that with the DI cologne. I actually like the DI cologne more. I've tested both side by side and DI projects more and lasts longer. It's slightly less spicy, which is a plus for me, but it's another %90 not %100 match.
I get 4 knock off colognes from DI(Fierce, Aqua, Curve, Polo Blue).
Their Drakkar Noir, Code and Unforgivable are just not right. I've never smelled their Eternity, since neither I nor anyone I know has ordered it, as I strongly discourage using any CK cologne, ever. Their Bleu De Channel I cannot explain. It smells so close, but there is something... missing. It's more of a "clean" cologne over sexy, anyway. So it doesn't much matter.
I'd also add one to the list that did not come from my ex, which is Seductive from Guess(and if you don't like spending $$$ on them, avoid). It's about like a cross between Fierce and Pi. It projects VERY well. And it lasts forever. I can still smell it if I put my skin to my nose, 12 hours later. I use this for social situations where I expect there to be a lot of shyer girls. I had experimented with Pi and Curve, as Code and Fierce seemed to trigger player vibe or something with them. They seemed more initially suspicious of me.
I knew Pi was safe and for whatever reason, Curve didn't seem to get that same reaction either.
On a different topic, I've found that a great thing to do with scent is to use a scent that is different from your look, but not %100 polar opposite. You don't want to go with something that smells like a hippie cologne if you're in a suit. But, I've found frat boy colognes with dress clothes and dress clothing cologne with Western style seems to be a big hit. Perhaps it adds to mystery.
Natural order:
Fierce = Frat boy
Chrome = Sport
Pi = Sweater
Code = Suit
Joop = Ascot and khaki shorts
Lapidus = Balding dude with pony tail
Eternity = Unisex
Thus to wear differing styles:
Chrome with dress shirt
Code with Western
Pi with active wear
Fierce with suit
