any advice rules/openers one could give on hitting up girls you haven't spoken to in over 4months?

Honestly what I like to do is just message them:
"Hey can I get your advice on something"
Depending on how well you know them, it should be easy for you to figure out what to ask for advice on. For example if she is a dog groomer you could follow up with:
"I have no fucking clue what to use to clean my dog. lmao. Help"
It's indirect but it get's her talking. You have to realize, just because a girl was possibly into you a while back, doesn't mean she is going to feel the same way after some time has passed. So from here after she helps you out, it should be simple enough to meet up and game her.
