Hey, I am new the forums and went out with some buddies tonight, not looking to sarge, but once I got there I figured I should work on my game a little. Anyways, I have an opinion opener about a friend who cheated on his girlfriend, and it has been recieved 2/2 times thus far. Anyways, tonight it worked well and I opened a 2 set of HB6 and HB8. I talked to the 6 for a couple of minutes, negged the 8, then eventually moved over and started talking to the 8. Anyways, she got around to asking me how many times I had used that story tonight, and I was a little caught off guard because this had never happened before. Anyways, I said on the spot, "Do you think you are that good looking that a guy needs to make up a story in order to talk to you?" Which was met with a pretty good reception. Turns out she was married, so I politely left.

Anyways, I was wondering what kind of lines you guys if a girl calls bullshit on an opener you used?

quick comeback. well done. i try to stick away from stock opinion openers like that. it was used in a best selling book and a popular tv show.

I'm still a newb, so I wonder, would the C&F attempt below work?

HB: yeah...
PUA: ok, which pickup line would you use?
HB: [pickup line]
PUA: oh... do you really think that would work? etc

This could definetely be pulled off, and it would probably be an interesting interaction. A similar thing happens in the movie Hitch.
