I always wonder, should I text the girl after a day 2 or should I wait for her to text me? and if she doesn't how long before I text her. I'm guessing it depends on how it went, but what's a good rule as a guide?

For me I usually text the girl straight away, waiting for a select period can often lead to the girl forgetting who you are. To me I think that attaching rules to the how long should I wait before I text her idea just makes things more complicated and can lead to overthinking, like if you want to text her, go ahead. Just make sure you aren't giving her all the power.

I make sure the text isn't generic like "i really had a good time" or "i hope you get home safe" because its literally what most guys text. I send something funny like "its your homeboy [name] this number will change your life" just to be different you know.

I am new to PU, but I haven't had a unsuccessful first text if you know what I'm trying to say.
