A girl I'm seeing right now does this same thing. When we are parting ways, she will look at me and say "I'll call you." Our first date was on a Sunday, she gave me a nice goodnight kiss, then said, "I'll call you." Like a jackass I said, "I hope to hear from you, have a nice night." STUPID REPLY@!! I froze her out without hearing from her all the way until Friday afternoon, I finally called and got her voicemail, and left a message (I almost always get her voicemail). She called me back Saturday afternoon and we arranged to meet again. Now we see each other at least once a week, but it is still rare to talk to each other on text or phone. We have "phone quickies", in other words, we get on the phone, let each other know some time constraint, joke a minute or two, arrange a meetup or some sort of date, and hang up. I guess we both just like saving our material for using in person.
I guess what I'm saying is that just because she says "I'll call you" and then doesn't, you may very likely still be all good.
