If you don't like going to bars... don't go to bars.
If you don't like going to clubs... don't go to clubs.
If you want to go out to bars/clubs to have fun because you like going there (and not just to pick up girls) then you can be successful. But if you have this creepy motive to just pick up girls... You're going to be disappointed. Regardless of what type of "game" you do.
I'll definitely suggest you spend a year or two going out at night and getting to know the night life in your area and other places around you. If not anything else... it will give you some cool life experiences to talk about. Girls tend to like a guy with some interesting stories instead of just talking about the video games he's playing.
If you're going to hang out at a mall all fucking day and talk to every single girl in the place with out having any other purpose of being at the mall... that's creepy. Girls are going to pick up on that in a heart beat. Atleast the socially intelligent ones will. But if you're just out and about, doing your day to day shit... and you see a cute girl... talk to her. It doesn't have to be weird. Just say what's up and see what happens.
If you're uncomfortable in a situation... you're not going to do well with the girls there. If you feel like you're in your own living room... You'll do just fine. Where ever that place is for you, thats where you need to be. Hopefully that place has women there
