PULL THE DAMN TRIGGER
The problem with spending time with girls that aren't interested in you is that you are missing out on the girls that are interested in you!! There are girls out there who would buy what you are selling and would be really happy to spend time with you. There is a good possibility that you will end up either dating them or having sex with them. These are known as YES girls.
And then there are girls who don't really want to spend time with you but do so anyways because they can't find someone better at the moment. They use you for emotional support or for entertainment when they're bored. You are an orbiter to them. They will never plan on having sex with you - nor do they ever plan on dating you. However, they still often lead you on because they are using you for whatever reasons. They'll create the illusion that they like you and you might have a chance with them because they want you to stick around. These girls are known as NO girls.
They are a waste of your time because no matter how much effort or time you spend on them, you still won't succeed with them. Many guys spend months texting and chatting with girls like this in the hopes of that one day she will realize how awesome they are and date them!! Although this is a possibility, there is fatal flaw in the their plan: all that time and energy spent pursuing an unlikely cause could have been spent on more worthy causes: YES girls.
Girls that you aren't sure if there is real potential in sleeping with them or dating with them are known as MAYBE girls. What you don't want to do is spend countless hours with a maybe girl, only to find out that she's already married in the end. You need to build some value and then quickly find out if there's potential with the girl or not, so you don't end up spending time with the wrong people. People who don't deserve to be in your life, shouldn't be in it!! Don't let someone take rent space in your head if they haven't even earned it.

So true. Time is your only enemy. Better to pull the trigger and get a result one way or the other and then move on. Plus you learn more that way. Once you learn more and know better what you're doing you can always start to work on the maybes (if you want).
