Looks are not everything. You have to spike their curiosity. It's easier to do this when they can feel your energy in person.
Follow the advice of the earlier poster and get out there and hit the streets. There is no reason for anyone - let alone someone with your self described attributes - to hide behind a screen. You'd find that women are VERY VERY VERY receptive to a chat.

Hit the streets man. You still have to have the verbal skills when you meet up with them from online; might as well shortcut all that and just face rejection IRL. Of course well over 90% of guys can't face rejection and lead safe lives from start to finish, so I understand if you don't end up taking that route. It's very rewarding though if you can face the so-called risk.
