I've certiantly gotten better at pickup. I can open, midgame, and at times even escalate well, but because I never started with canned stuff (I only use natural game) I feel like I'm moving at a slower pace than everyone else. Does anyone have any advice for F-closing? (I know this is general, please check the later parts of my journal to assess my skill.

Personally I applaud you for staying away from routines...

Gimmicky things.

Truth is if you were using them, you'd probably still be hitting the same walls... Routines are only useful to a point - and you're admittedly past that point...
