| This is the well-worn tale of a newbie trying game for the first time and flaming out miserably. I'm not exactly sure what I did right or wrong, so I would really appreciate some evaluations.
Started game a few months ago just before sophomore year of college. Met this girl in one of my classes, I introduced myself and another guy I just met, was outgoing and confident. After class the three of us talked a little, I teased her but mainly talked to the other guy and left them in the middle of conversation without saying goodbye. After that she was giving off a lot of ioi's, looking at me and smiling.
A few classes later I sat next to her, did some kino which she responded to in kind. I did the apocalypse opener, she told me to fuck off. Next couple of classes she sat next to me and initiated kino, putting her leg against me. She showed me a bag of coke. I texted her a few times during classes, but she didn't really respond more than a few lines each time. Same when writing notes to her, she never wrote much. The longest was when I told her she smelled like a strip club and she asked what that even smells like and how i would know. I just responded "like you" and ignored then second question.
One Thursday night I texted her at midnight saying I loved her, she said something like "hahah wtf you are crazy." Probably was a bad move; I wanted to fuck with her head but I shouldn't have appeared needy. I didn't respond to her. The next day she was obviously staring at me and giggled whenever I said something. She was on the web a lot, perhaps checking equivalent of pua forums. I ignored her and went to the bathroom after class instead of going on the elevator. When I came out she was still hanging around the elevator, so I took another one. I probably should've capitalized on the interest, but I figured I gave her a strong pull, so a push was needed.
Next week, she was kinda distant and didn't sit next to me. I texted her asking if she was alright to no response. Still smiled when I talked to her in person. On Friday we resumed flirting, I fell on her and played with her hair, she was very into it so I pulled her in saying I wanted tell her a secret. She complied and until she realized I was going for a kiss. She looked pissed for the first time. I put a hand on her and asked if she could forgive me (yes) and if we were still best friends (no). She realized I was fucking with her and left right after class. Got some angry texts saying "do not ever do that again" and "why did you think you could try that." I said lol and "I'm so sorry, I'm gonna put myself in time out now." Next time I saw her, I gave her a sketch of a puppy saying woof woof. She seemed to warm up and walked towards me smiling but I ignored her for the most part and talked to other people. We had break, which leads to last week.
She continues to sit away from me, but close enough to show her face. She puts her hair up, which she knows I like, then puts it back down after a few minutes. Ignores me and leaves after class. The next day, she brings a male friend that she had been studying with to our class. He seems rather cocky and they laugh together a few times but no physical contact occurs. We make eye contact a few times, two cocky assholes smiling at the other. At this point my state is quite royally fucked up but I try to act normal. After class, in my usual way of talking to everyone, I ask what his name is and who he is, he answers but is reticent. I ask her what how she did on the midterm, she happily replies without turning around and goes down the elevator without her study buddy.
I completely fuck up at this point.
Me: 7/10 good effort
Her: ?
Me: wrong chat. Don't worry about it.
Me: btw what did you think of the puppy? There's a secret message in the drawing.
No reply
Few hours later, yesterday at midnight.
Me: Can we not do this anymore? I was gonna ask you out today but now I don't know if I even want to. Just tell me if you want me or to fuck off because I don't want to hook up with a random girl if there is a chance with you but I'm so drunk now I don't care
Me: I mean I really like you but sooo wasted
*cringe* No reply of course.
During this whole process, I maintained a pretty consistent cocky funny, mildly douchey appearance. The nicest things I've done for her are giving her a few m&ms and drawing her a puppy. Only beta lapses were those two days of texts. Every other time I've been dominant and physical, pulling her along. Talked to other girls on front of her. I've been reasonably charismatic, center of attention, the whole alpha checklist. But perhaps I wasn't as congruent as I thought. I've been drinking a lot the past couple of weeks and smell like alcohol most the time. Dunno if my alcoholism is relevant to game.
She is HB8-9, with very rich parents. Probably parties a lot, went 2 years with her last boyfriend (a dj, just like me), before getting dumped. Rather shy and doesn't talk much. Acts feminine, dresses conservatively. Several beta orbiters. Did not get strong slutty vibes, but my senses are not refined. I haven't seen her talking to any other boys aside from study buddy.
My guesses on what happened
1. she's a flirt and never had any real feelings for me. She brought in the other guy to mess with me for fun
2. I was too douchey without being sincere and now she is getting even
3. Didn't ask her out and she was pushing me to chase harder
I might've been hard on her, but the lack of texting or any verbal interaction on her part made my question how much control I had over the situation. She was either playing hard to get or showing genuine disinterest. The only reason I kept at it was because there was so much kino.
At this point I think it's a dead lead, but I'm gonna freeze her out for 1-3 weeks and see if anything changes.
