So this is a quick throwdown question for the boys willing to bounce it back.

The story follows:
>Be 20, 6 Foot 5 inches.
>Friday night.
>At a university gathering which is basically dead as fuck for a party.
>Be quite wasted on cheap wine but feeling energetic and collected as all hell.
>I already have a girlfriend (not with me at the time) so I'm just there with my mate to enjoy myself.

In front of me and my mate there is a blonde (A 9, who later told me she was Chloe) a redhead guy around 20, looked like Conan O'brian who was short shaven and seemed like a friendly sort of guy. While I was sitting with my friend talking I seen a brunette (a 9 as well) who was obviously attracted to the pre-selection quality this guy possessed and on short notice invited herself into the conversation between these two.

After the hat convo, Conan goes off to the toilet while I'm left with Chloe who right now is interested in who I am. She's asking my name (which I made her guess) and what I do (said a dolphin trainer).

I told her I came over because I could see the brunette was stealing the attention away from her and she thanked me so much for that but also asked if I was Gay. I said no, definitely not, but I wanted to get an opinion on what other guys would do in this situation?? I know to use a disqualifier like saying you are gay to build initial attraction with a woman. But this was different because Chloe was touching me and asking what my name was straight away so I knew the IOI's were there. When confronted with this question I was immediately at crossroads, do you say you are gay if the attraction is slightly there, or use a disqualifier for her to become comfortable around you.

In the end, Conan came back from a toilet break and the two kicked off conversation from where they left off, I realised I would be intruding if I stayed so I politely ejected convo with friendly sendoffs by both Chloe and Redhead alike. Mind you this is basically the first approach I've ever made in a social setting, so all went quite well.

I've only been called gay once by a creepy stalker girl when I kept ignoring her, so I can't speak from personal experience, but I have a friend who gets called gay a decent amount and I think he agrees and amplifies which works well for him.
