Hello gentlmen.

I have a question that bothers me a lot. I'm doing quite allright in meeting new people, but I have a problem in this kind of situation - So I'm with my friend, who takes me to her friends from college. It's like 10-15 people and everyone knows each other, so they don't really try to talk to me right away. How do you handle situation like this? They talk about some situations I don't know because I wasn't there, and I never know what to do. I hate just standing and smiling.

So don't... You need us to tell you how to talk to people? You've never socialized with strangers or gone to a party where there are people you've never met before?

Be a social butterfly. Talk to everyone. Listen actively and ask them questions. Smile.

It's DHV to be the guy everyone likes.

Open your mouth bro. Speak. Bring up your own topics of conversation instead of waiting to be included in everyone elses. Nobody likes the weird, creepy quiet guy.
