Sometimes it's said to let you know nothing is going to happen and sometimes it's said so she can transfer the responsibility to you. The best thing to do either way is either not acknowledge it or just say okay and keep on your current path if she hasn't shut you down completely. Don't entertain the boyfriend conversation. Don't try to put him down. Don't try to elevate your status above her boyfriend. Just continue to build attraction.

Lol my reply is to screen harder and find out how close they are. Dont want to end up wasting my time, if she doesnt mind the escalation, irrelevant continue your pick up.

The only girls ive closed with boyfriend have been special situations,either the dudes wak, far, recently finished, finishing ect.. Dont think I ever closed one in a serious relationship, at least they didnt mention it. Either way girls with boyfriends are friendly and a big tease, but too much work considering the odds and useually result in blue balls for me.

Anything is possible but are you willing to risk your time when you could spend it on a more worthwhile girl?

Exactly as the rest have said. Give little to no acknowledgment of the boyfriend and keep escalating like you would with anyone else. If she's not shutting you down completely, she's entertaining your advances, keep moving forward. All the teasing and playing is building to something, just be patient.
