I gave her a call asking how she was. She sadly mumbled no thanks when I told her I want to make it up to her. I heard muffled crying and then she hung up. Called her back no answer. Left her a text saying I enjoyed our time together and told her to have an awesome time in school and have great sex and go to awesome parties. I left on a high aloof note with dignity.

Should have left her a text playing the considerate white knight card. "Hey, I heard crying when you hung up. Is everything okay?" leave it at that. Then perk her up if she replies and offer to bring her out and take her mind off things.
