Always keep in mind your priorities and why you came to college. It seems that your major and field of study is tough and time-consuming. If school if your number one goal (as it should be), then I would highly recommend not joining a fraternity. While all the raging parties, hot sorority girls, and social networking are attractive reasons for joining, they come along with several serious negatives. The most prominent one in your case is time. Pledging a top house is usually difficult, extremely time-consuming, and stressful. It is very common and often expected for students to do poorly academically while pledging a top house. And even beyond that, the fraternity lifestyle is much more complicated and distracting than that of a student who is unaffiliated. Do the pros outweigh the cons? I forgot what your major was, but it seems that fraternity networking benefits business careers most, which is another thing to keep in mind if you're not pursuing a career in business. On another note, I noticed that you seem to be planning everything out, such as strategies to attain higher social status, how you're going to use this or that to attract more girls..etc. I just want to say don't stress or over think or try to stick to a plan; just be open-minded and adapt to new situations. It's surprising how things can turn out far from what you had expected and to watch your life unfold in front of you. Moreover, your PUA attitude and goals are influencing your decisions and distorting the way you look at things. For example, you see joining a fraternity as a means to gain social proof and get with hot girls, and that making lots of guy friends in the dorms will help you climb the social ladder and be more attractive. By seeing things as tools and steeping stones in your PUA arsenal, you are missing out on things that matter most, such as brotherhood and true friendship. Instead of being PUA-oriented, enrich and fullfill your college experience by just having fun and improving all aspects of your life, socially, intellectually, and physically... there will be no shortage of girls or opportunities.
