| I am OK (6/10) at stopping girls during the daytime, chatting to them, and getting numbers. I have a pretty decent hit rate as far as this is concerned. I am coming off a 7-month layoff where I was highly stressed out through work, and as such, didn't attempt to approach girls. Over the last month I've f-closed three girls - nothing special.
I think my personality is not "fun" or "happy go lucky" enough, and I end up having pretty mundane conversations with girls. Sometimes I can be very spontaneous and funny things just come out, but I am just not consistent enough with it, and I dare say I *might* come across weird.
I get numbers maybe 50% of the time...but convert it to dates/f-closes a smaller % of the time (maybe 15-20%) - so for instance 12 approaches > 6 numbers > 2 dates > 1-2 f-closes. These girls are usually probably just attracted to me physically than anything I have to say, so they just "deal with it".
A good friend of mine is brilliant at it, and he's really refined his game over a long period of time. Now he pretty much f-closes at will. He advised me to start calling chicks more often, as text gets quite confusing. I have found the calling approach to be a little better.
My goal is not to find a girlfriend, but merely to f-close.
Strengths:
- I am a good looking, fit, strong and healthy guy
- I am not afraid to approach women anywhere
Weaknesses
- Low level of conversation when speaking to women for the first time - my approach always revolves around basic stuff like "Name, where are you from, what do you do etc"... it's boring.
- I can be socially awkward sometimes
- I run out of/or don't have anything funny to say. As a consequence, I don't have long enough conversations with girls to spark up any lingering interest. My average time talking to a girl in any situation is about 5-7 minutes. If we really get on (or if the girl is just as weird as me) it could be longer.
- Conversations can probably end up a bit like interviews.
- Not comfortable with kino, dancing etc or anything like that. I get too self-conscious.
I was out sarging with a friend yesterday at a major London event. I managed to get a few numbers, but my friend (as he does) went one better and ended up f-closing there and then..made me feel like crap - it's a competitive friendship.
Me and five friends (including this guy) are going on a holiday on Friday to a party island. I really want to ensure I've made some substantial improvements to my game by then as I don't want to face the embarrassment of coming home without f-closing!
Any ideas about what I can do to continue to improve?
