Huh? What opener did you use? Pebble is right with the fact that this doesn't happen with direct game, although I wouldn't necessarily throw all indirect game over board just because of this.

I don't know man, it sounds like it was some kind of hoop and you jumped right through it. Stupid example: If I was to open a girl by... Ehm... Asking her for a lighter (hey, cut me some slack!) and then I tried to initiate a conversation with her after she gave it to me and she was like "I thought you just wanted a lighter?" I would just ignore it or gloss over it and be like "yeah but blah blah" and just go on as if she hadn't said anything. Or just punch out some cocky and funny line (maybe something along the lines of "yeah, but I saw how you were looking at me and decided to give you an opportunity" (again, cut me some slack!)). That way you get to set the frame of the conversation and show her you don't tend to just pussy out.
