simple question here.. what does it mean when HBs seem interested (talkative, reinitiates convo, laughs), but doesn't keep EC and, in some instances, barely even looks at me.

What are you feeling when you don't make eye contact with people?

well, if i don't want to talk the other person, i wouldn't keep EC with him/her but i wouldn't reinitate the convo as well.

last week i was in a party where a girl kept really strong EC with me straight from the beginning and it was me who couldn't hold EC with her, even though she was an attractive girl. i failed to translate this into anything. i do understand that a girl not keeping EC is generally not a good thing, but it is not a clear IOD. that's my opinion.

so let me ask this, what can i do to make a girl in a situation like this, hold EC with me?

It means she is shy.

Try going easy with eye contact, not trying to hold it really, looking from the side, making it less intimidating when she does look at you. The idea being that she gets used to eye contact gradually rather than trying to eye fuck the girl when she can't even look at you yet.
