Gentleman, here's the deal:

I'm intersted in a girl in my class, up until recently she dated a dude who drove a mercedes slk.

I drive a Subaru WRX. Now I'm thinking about buying a new car. Preferably a coupe (BMW 3) or offroad (Mitsubishy Strakar with offroad mods). Asked her opinion and she sugested an slk. I replied that it is not my style (which is not), is not a fun enough car to drive, underpowered and not practical, and that if I wanted a two seat convertible I'd rather get a Alfa Romeo Spider. Wich are all valid points the way I see it. She replied it is very elegant and that all girls like a low convertible. I replied I'm buying what I like, not what looks pretty and that what matters is the man in the car, not the car the man drives.

It is not the first time she tries to shape me after an ex-boyfriend. She has sugested I buy the perfume another ex of hers used (one she says "makes her go crazy") and once sugested a shirt with a particular pattern after mentioning a guy she went out wth had one.

Is this some kind of shit test ot what?

It never is. Everyone here thinks shit tests are happening all around them. They aren't. A shit test is if she tests you - IE: You're too young for me; or I only date black guys...

This is her giving her opinion, which you solicited. If she keeps comparing you to exes whenever you ask, and you don't like it, stop asking for her opinion.
