You're overcomplicating it. Just make it clear the girl is with you. Put your arm around her. Claim her without making her feel like a piece of meat. Most guys will just back off.

Ah, just be natural. If you ask me, you should be able to trust your girl to the point of knowing she will not do anything with some random dude approaching her anyway. So what I would do back when I was with my gf actually was... Let her have a life and talk to the guy and just otherwise busy myself in the mean time... And when I get bored (I mean, IF it came to the point of me getting bored in the first place) just walk up to them, at which point the guy would realize she had a bf and just walk away in case she had not told him yet.

And what I did if the guy was a dickhole and just continued gaming her right in my face while excluding me... Is just be honest, and randomly blurt out "babe, this guy is boring the shit out of me. Let's go do XYZ instead". I mean, what is he gonna do? Pick a fight? And it's my gf, so she's obviously not going to deny.

I just stand by and enjoy the show. I have never had to do anything. I leave it up to my chick to look at them stupid, and they always do. In the event she accepts his advances, as this one song goes "If she wanna go, fuck the hoe. Let her."

I encourage it, then play off as my girl's cousin. We do this on purpose to score free drinks.

Well, if you are standing with her at the bar and you project man to woman scenario around no one will enter your set and try to take her away.. well, most guys won't lets say. On the other hand, if you are not projecting that and people sense you are just friends or the girl is not giving you attention and looking around, then many guys might try to enter your set and game your girl. So basically try to avoid it from happening from the beginning. In case guys do come in between, just ignore them and continue talking to your girl. If they insist on staying, change your body position to be closer to them and engage them in quick conversation.. Ask him for his name, bla bla, then tell him you have to get back to your friends and turn around. Now, he is just blown out and you are back with your girl. Extra credit if you are holding her hand while dealing with him so that no other guy will find the opportunity and jump in while dealing with the first guy.
PS: Most important is not to look annoyed..
