What do you guys think about the Barney Opening? Just walking up to some girls and just intruduce your friend? Like they do In "How I met your mother"?

I tried It but the friend I did It with was to shy so he just smiled nervusly and then walked away so I just talked to them by myself for a wile but then exused myself and said I needed to talk to my friend.

But If I had a friend better at this then would you think Its a good way to open?

The point of the opener is to get a conversation started, which you did. It's a funny opener if they get the reference, but that doesn't matter. As long as they start talking, the game has already started.
