More and more when I see girls I want to approach I will get close only to find that their ears are already full! hahaha. What do you do when a girl has headphones in? (and you have a limited frame...)

Move onto the next one that doesnt have headphones. Alot of girls use headphones to block out the general public. I saw a hb10 earlier while i was on the bus. She sat across from me, started preening her hair as well. She had sunglasses so i couldn't read EC but for the fact that she had those headphones on, i said, NEXT!!

See to me its more like, im the prize. So i shouldn't have to chase a girl that is already halfway blocking me out. If she's really interested, she'll take at least one ear out while she's showing other ioi's

Darkies advice is the worst advice I have ever read haha.

Surely, if you are this amazing prize, then you wouldn't lower yourself to cold approach. Yet, you probably have approached chicks from time to time without headphones, so it just sounds like it's an excuse to be honest.

I have to say though, I think its actually pretty rude when you see a girl is on her phone and you tell her to hang up and you just go direct. I don't think I will do that again since i have had nothing but horrible reactions.

ANYWAY...

When you see a girl with her head phones on, do this instead:

Get in front of her as you normally would, then pretend to pull ear plugs out of your ears. That's it. She will take her head phones out for you, then do your usual opener.

Just open her. She is trying to block out other people. I open girls with ear phones all the time, it's fine, and you'll find they are in a good state because they were just grooving to music.

try to reverse the situation: when you put on headphones, do you want to shut yourself off completely? probably no! (unless.. you are in bad mood, or jogging or in a hurry or something like that) . even if you are in a bad mood and you really like the music.. a chat with an interesting stranger is probably a better, more fun option, right?

to me, i know i'll be tranced and music gets me out of talkative mode (and i don't like this), but if a someone starts talking to me i'll probably pause the music and listen. so girls should be the same, right?

It's very easy. I do a hand gesture as if I were taking off my [imaginary] headphones... you know, it's like a motion showing her to take hers off. It always works, except yesterday I was holding a water bottle in one hand so I did the motion with just one hand and she looked really confused. As soon as I put down the bottle and did the correct motion she understood and took off her headphones.

And by the way I see it as a very good thing if she has headphones on. It makes it so easy to open her. I simply ask what she is listening to and take the conversation from there.
