Oh yeah the day game is entirely different. Mozy would be correct in this instance. But for the night game, which is what you described, I would try to open two or more sets.

Chicks don't usually go out on their own clubbing/bars. If they appear on their own usually their friends are kissing some other guy, or they are in the toilets.

Ive heard some PUAs like gunwitch suggest one sets are actually much easier to close because they dont have friends around that they have to prove theyre not sluts to. In your specific situation maybe you should have thrown some more negs before you went into the routine.

I think the idea of not approaching one sets comes from the recommendation to not limit yourself to one sets - most AFCs wait for a girl to be alone for fear of approaching a group - low confidence DLV.

I've got some natural skill, and have done some reading but haven't put a ton of book technique into practice in the field...I've always found it hard to game larger sets - too many variables with more personalities, hard to pick a target when there are several women in a group. I've had the most luck with ones and twos. Twos are great because two girls together are bound to be bored and most likely are trying to meet guys.

It really does depend on what venue you are in and where abouts in the place you are. I prefer to open 1-3 sets, if any bigger i normally pick one person from the group and talk to them directly, and work my way in that way. Rather than trying to talk to the whole group. In a loud club it can be hard to talk to more than one person at a time, so treating a girl as a 1 set is the norm. You often see girls sat by themselves, at the bar. etc and i find this works pretty well for me, but i stay open-minded.
