The title basically says it all.
I want to know what kind of an opener should i use when i want to approach a target on the street?
I don't want it to sound awkward/creepy.
I want it to lead to some kind of conversation so we could talk about when walking down the street together.
I haven't met the target before.
I want to be able to get her number after the conversation.

Hi,

first avoid to approach her from behind, generally she is not going to like it and it seems like you've followed her. Try to get an eye contact if you do, smile not like this or this but in friendly way like this for 1 or 2 seconds before starting to talk with her, generally she is gonna smile back. Greet her ( a "hi" is enough ),then try something original. I said something to a 8 last week; It was like " hey look at you, I think there is a color missing on your shirt ?!" she wore a shirt fulfilled with different colors, she laughed and we started to talk . I advice you to watch some infield daygame on youtube. Internalize some patterns, try them and you will feel more comfortable when you will arrive at that point, you'll develop your own openers, patterns and routines.

PS: I'm not a expert but I've never been rejected since I've stared pickup in street few weeks ago.

I have a great one.. I use it almost every time I approach.

It goes like this..

"Hey"

Works like a charm..

Its not what you say that makes you appear creepy; its how you say it/the vibe you're giving off.

Approach from the front, or PERHAPS the side, and "Hey" is best - usually in a confident, fairly loud and assertive voice.

Whatever you do though, make sure it is loud (not yelling/screaming though), articulated well and short.

Completely agree ! "Hey" is the best and your body language even more !

Direct opener is always work best for me at street.

Sincerely compliment on her and introduce yourself.

Go into small talk with her and find things you can relate to go to meaniful, personal conversation with her.

By doing so, it should be not a number for you to get a number from her, but it's always set up a date with her face-to-face and then only get her number.
