Moment of true honesty

so i always like the idea of being the guy who gets all the girls, the charming James bond, Bruce Wayne Archer, or Alfie.....i like the way they dress, the way they talk, the way they get the girls and the way they are really self centered but still lovable

i've been wanting to be like James Bond before i knew who he was, before i even watched a James Bond movie, really before i knew his name (when i was like 13)....always wanted to be that charming guy, who dresses well who doesn't need over the top humor, loud talk, or flashy pick up lines to get girls, just pure charm..

but me as a person (especially now) is a pretty shy, overweight, not really attractive guy, who does rely on humor to get girls....im nowhere near the person i want to be, im not charismatic anymore, im not charming anymore, i can teach and teach how to be the person i want to be, but im not even that person

the worst thing is, what defines the "real you" is it the person you really desire to be, or the person you naturally are? if im naturally a nerdy, needy, kid but transform into a seductive super man, which one is the "real me"

basically should i pursue being the person i want to be, or just learn to be the person that comes natural

Maximize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. Pursue your ideal self but be aware of your own limitations.
