I think it's important for your own inner game to know exactly where you fit on the scale without doing too much to yourself to improve your looks. I mean, wouldn't it make you feel better if you were a 6 to women without shaving/being clean shaven and have a shitty haircut then realise you could push your rating up one or two points by simply having a bit of stubble and/or getting a haircut that suits you properly? Hell yeah! That's definitely going to improve your inner and outer game and the reality is most of us can actually do that rather simply.
The reality is most guys would probably fit into the 6 or 7 category and women are okay with that. As with us men, there is no true universal 10 for women. Some women find George Clooney a solid 10 or 11 yet others wouldn't go near him. Some find Johnny Depp a 10 yet others prefer Ryan Gosling and wouldn't go near Johnny. Just about the only common ground for ratings scales is the solid 5-8. Those three ratings are all that matter for the 90% of us out there. Is there a problem with that? No, there really isn't and most of us can get to a 7 or 8 with small tweeks here and there. Losing weight would be on the list as well as toning up or getting buff but you'll still go up a point with a decent haircut, good clothing, confident posture and facial hair that suits you.
Honestly, I think the only true 9s and 10s are reserved for those who are rich and famous, as in those who have social proof to cover absolutely any situation. They have success, security, abundance, confidence, carefree attitude, physical attraction and women openly declaring their likeness for them. That's the only way you'll reach 9 or 10.
