I am an AFC who has been glancing over these forums over the past 6 or so months. Recently broke up with my girlfriend of 4.5 years, which has just changed to friends with benefits, and I wish to pursue other girls but don't know where to begin.

I went out to a bar for the first time in 3 years and encountered an odd response from the guys there. They all became extremely defensive (if this the right word) when ever I approached group of people. I am 6'7" and assume this is reason. Where should I begin to combat that?
