I tend to go a bit over the top with the alphaness. Sometimes I tell girls what to do a bit too much and they respond with "stop telling me what to do". That is an IOD?

I would say that, yes, it is an IOD. If you think that you are too alpha, you probably are, especially if it's a recurring theme.
